Welcome to the town of Spectacle, North Carolina. It's a college town, which means it was a really small, virtually unknown place until someone decided to a massive college there in Spectacle State University. Everything was built up around that, putting Spectacle on the map and making it one of the most populated in the Southeastern United States due to mass college attendance from those living out of town and/or out of state. Though aside from that, on the surface, the town is really no different from other towns. You have those who have made it and those who struggle to make a living. You have the businesses and practices that represent a rollercoaster economy. And of course you have various acts of kindness and nobility mingled with acts of disrespect and violence. Sounds like most any other major town, doesn't it...



But there is more to Spectacle. Under the illusion of a typical "big-small" town, there is a much deeper and underlying social prejudice that goes back years and has never truly been remedied. Pass the old tracks is Stonewell Street, where the oppressed of Spectacle fight through hunger and poverty just to make it from day to day. They have become the losing side of the battle against corrupt politicians who run Spectacle. Some have turned to drugs to forget the Hell they live in. Others have turned to crime in an effort to escape it. And there are the few who have turned to their Faith to find a divine light at the end of a very, very dark tunnel.



What many don't know is that Stonewell Street is a ticking time bomb about to go off. There is a new generation of people there who are ready to rise and fight for the right to be treated with dignity and respect. And they are not alone as many from the other side of the tracks are standing up to help them, with the heart of such organizations at Spectacle State University. Unfortunately, there is a part of this generation too who seeks revenge in blood for the suffering of themselves and their ancestors. And when this time bomb explodes, the entire town of Spectacle could be changed forever... unless those who have corrupted it to begin with make a change themselves first.



Spectacle is a fun realistic roleplay that allows players to help create a town and that which goes on in it. While we encourage people to help with the main plot, everyone is equally encouraged to play out various stories of their own and truly bring Spectacle to life!
